Project Yellow · World Lore

The World

The lore below is information your character can know — or not. You're welcome to live in blissful ignorance. That's a valid choice.

00 · OVERVIEW

How to read this

There is no campaign. An overarching story exists, but it won't be pushed on you. Events will unfold around you — randomly, organically. What happens next is shaped entirely by how players respond.

The story of this server is written by the people in it.

01 · CHAPTER

The Discovery

A few years ago, Earth was falling apart. Resource wars. Climate collapse. Governments propped up by corporations just to keep the lights on. Blackouts were normal. Food barely resembled food. The oceans were drilled. The orbit was mined. Whole regions stripped until nothing was left.

Then researchers found something strange deep underground — a network of vein-like energy channels running beneath the most contested land on the planet. They called them Earth Veins.

No one knew what they were. Only that every major conflict over resources seemed to happen right on top of them.

Governments launched a classified effort to investigate and secure this energy before anyone else could. New drilling technology was developed — and to everyone's shock, the Veins produced clean, limitless energy.

!
The Earth Veins are canonically the origin of all supernatural power on the server — synthesized Vein energy powers Super Soldiers, Power Armors, and every enhancement program the government runs.
02 · CHAPTER

The Boom

Once the Veins were tapped, the world changed fast.

Blackouts stopped
Food production recovered
AI and technology leapt forward overnight
Military research exploded
Consumer tech transformed

Governments celebrated the end of the energy crisis. Behind the scenes, corporations and militaries locked down every Vein site. The resource wars took a new form. The world enjoyed abundance while also fighting over who controlled it.

03 · CHAPTER

The Collapse

No one thought to ask what the Veins were actually connected to.

They weren't Earth's energy to take. The Veins were part of an ancient ley line network — a system that carried power between various realms and kept them stable and separate. Angelic and demonic planes. Ancestral worlds. All of them sustained by the same network humanity had been draining for years.

By reversing the flow, Earth starved those realms of the energy they needed to survive. Their barriers collapsed.

When the ley lines opened, humans forced themselves into these realms and faced opposition. The worlds started to collapse, and once they did, the ones left on the other side were trapped here.

!
The collapse is not reversible — at least, not yet. Nobody knows if the lost realms can ever be restored, or if they are simply gone.
04 · CHAPTER

The Arrival

These beings were left scattered, leaderless, and stripped of their homes, their traditions, and in many cases their magic.

Factions fractured and splintered
Demonic houses lost their leadership overnight
Angelic factions divided over how to deal with humanity
Ancestral spirits struggled to exist in physical form

No one knows how many realms were lost entirely. No one knows if any can ever be restored.

Most simply tried to adapt — navigating bureaucracy, language barriers, cultural clashes, and the everyday friction of a world that wasn't built for them. Schools started teaching supernatural safety. New jobs emerged. Social media exploded with sightings, debates, and conspiracy theories. Life, messy and imperfect, moved forward.

05 · CHAPTER

The Response

Not everyone came in peace.

Some arrived with grief that curdled into rage. Others saw a weakened, chaotic world and saw opportunity — pursuing power, revenge, or just plain destruction.

Governments responded. Classified programs were fast-tracked.

Power Armor

Exo-frames built with Vein-infused alloys. The government's answer to supernatural threats. Law enforcement fields these.

Super Soldiers

Humans augmented beyond their limits using synthesized Vein energy. The military's front line.

Suppression Weapons

Weapons capable of disrupting a being's connection to ley line energy entirely.

P
The line between peacekeeping and persecution is one that activists, politicians, and ordinary people argue about every single day. This tension is active, unresolved roleplay — not settled server lore.
06 · CHAPTER

The World Now

The drilling continues.

Corporations exploit the chaos. Black markets thrive on Vein-infused materials. The political landscape is fractured, unstable, and deeply uncertain.

Can the ley lines be repaired?
Are the lost realms truly gone — or just unreachable?
Did something, or someone, nudge humanity toward the Veins on purpose?
"This is where the story begins.
What happens next is up to you."

The Realms — Known & Lost

Six known origins arrived on Earth. Some came willingly. Most did not.

Human WorldIntact

Humanity built this world and cracked it open. Earth is now the only place where all origins coexist. Humans have the widest ceiling of any origin — their path is shaped entirely by the choices they make.

HeavenFractured

Once a vast realm of order and light, now partially collapsed. The angels who fled carry the memory of what was — and the conviction to restore it, or build something better. Factions remain divided on what that means.

HellUnknown

Hell didn't fall — hopefully. Demonic houses arrived on Earth leaderless and scattered. Whether they came as survivors or something else depends entirely on who you ask. No one has verified what remains on the other side.

Dragon RealmCollapsed

An ancient realm of fire and memory, older than most of the worlds that fell. The Dragonborn carry bloodlines tied to its dying heartflame — each one a living ember of something that may never fully burn again.

AsgardIntact — Believed

The World Tree held long after others fell. Warriors, maidens, and champions arrived mid-battle, mid-ceremony, mid-life. They haven't stopped fighting since. Contact with Asgard is unconfirmed.

The BeyondN/A

Not a realm in any recognizable sense. The Beyond is the space between spaces — the dark margin outside the ley line network that was never meant to be inhabited. Whatever the Eldritch are, they didn't come from a world. They came from the absence of one.
